Glad to see there is another g8 owner here. Our group is small but I personally think the g8 is the best looking cart Yamaha put on the market

No Mike not yet. I realized through more thread reading that I need to change the crank seals and gasket. Also need motor mounts and need to make a tension key. So the carb is the least of my problems right now lol. But that stubborn Yamaha still will run. Even though the starter takes a while to make her go. Probably need to change the brushes ughhh. The list never ends

Cajun, Just go buy a tentioner..Trust me, been there, done that. They are really cheap - like less than $10 bucks or something and they work so much better than what you can build!

If you want to order parts like these, you can call Valley Golf Cars in Harrisonburg, VA. They stock most Yamaha G8 parts and can ship it to you. Or, if you have a local Yamaha dealer, like that one, buy it there!

Curti, seems like the last picture I saw of it, it was loaded with mud and your lovely wife was sitting in it! You guys sure enjoy mudin!!
