Default Is there any way to clean the gas gauge on a g2?

Just wondering Is there any way to clean the gas gauge on a g2? Does the little plastic cover come off I cant see through it and dont want to break it trying to take it off.

I don't see how. Once the plastic is damaged from the gas. How's the build going?

I was hoping maybe with some really fine sand paper and some kind of polish I know it works on jeep windows. The build is almost done I am just playing with the belts right now and have to check my brake pads they dont hardly stop the cart and I will probably eventually redo my exhaust its a little louder than I wanted.

Smallblock, are those gauges replaceable? Like if one were to start leaking. Or is it replace the tank time were that to happen.

I just checked on one of the Yamaha OEM parts websites and they do sell the fuel gauge seperatly for the G2 & my G9
