Default G2 no fuel to carb

So I'm getting my g2 ready for the summer. It ran great 2 weeks ago. Today I went to start it and it just cranked. New battery, checked for spark (spark present) cleaned the carb & points, cleaned the pump. What else am I missing here? Now I did find a crack in the gas cap where it would prevent it from sealing. Would that have this kind of effect on the engine NOT getting fuel?
Just to confirm it was not getting fuel, I sprayed alittle starting fluid in the combustion chamber and it did run for a second. Thanks in advance to the yami heads.

Nothin? How bout this... will your cart run with no gas cap?
So far this is the only problem I'm finding with the fuel system.

Remove the fuel line from the carb and stick in a bottle, spin the motor and see if it is pumping fuel.
If it not start at the tank, check that the pick up tube is still attatched, check pulse line from block to pump for cracks. wrap a rag around your air hose nozzle and lightly pressurize your tank to get fuel flowing out of fuel line, reattatch to carb and try it.
If it does pump fuel into bottle when spinning over, I would pull carb, disassemble and clean completely.
might as well check valve clearance while your at it.

Crash... you are my hero. Somehow, I completely missed that the line coming off the block was cracked by the heat and wasn't even connected. Can't belive I missed it but its easy to do I guess with it being burried behind the plastic covers. I replaced the line this morning and it run better now than it ever has. Thanks again.

Lot of people replace all the rubber lines on them for that reason, G2 was last made in '89 or something. These things last so long you forget how old they really are.
