Default Drive belt question

I got a 1995 CC DS gas and i want to replace the drive belt. Any tricks on removing the old one. I cant quite get it over the lip of the rear pulley. I have the body off now doing some other work so i want to go ahead and do it.

Thanks

With either the rear tires lifted off the ground or with the cart in neutral, get the belt up to the lip and then spin the clutch to get it all the way off. It should just kinda roll over the lip of the driven clutch. Hope this helps.

^^^^^This

With mine (95), I pulled the belt up over the lip of the driven clutch as far as I could, then I just put mine in neutral and pushed it backwards. (CCW rotation)

Please watch your fingers! Belts and pulleys can be dangerous!

Remove the key/unhook the battery.

I removed mine as indicated above. Get it started over the lip of the clutch and then rotate the clutch.
