Default 1991 club car wiring

I have a 1991 club car and as soon as I turn the switch the solenoid clicks and when I hit the gas it clicks again. Please help.

Sounds like your key switch may be wired incorrectly. I believe (I'd have to look to be positive), your blue wire is your key switch???? Should be on one of the small posts on your solenoid...not one of the big ones. Other small post goes to rev limiter. See if this helps.....

May need to check solenoid. Try this http://golfcardr.hubpages.com/hub/Ho...a-Bad-Solenoid

Dang! Micro switches good and wired properly? The oldest I've worked on is a 94. Is that your rpm limiter (the silver box)?

I have bought "bad" new parts. If you jump the two big posts, your starter should spin. I know you said you had a little spark, but hold it down for couple of seconds and see if your starter spins. May want to loosen your starter belt so you know it's not in a bind or too tight. I know you mentioned the solenoid is good......so you have tested it with a tester?

And your voltage regulator simply regulates the voltage that your starter is giving the battery once running. If it allowed too much voltage, it would burn up stuff like lights. I don't think the voltage regulator would be an issue.

There is no rpm limiter. Solenoid is good.
