Gas Club Cart hesitate to make 17mph
Hello, I have a question. As all you may know everyone likes speed. Speacially when I myself a Puerto Rican have drag car. And just bought this Club Cart Used from a Golf Field.
I will using this to pull the car to the pits. This club cart I have done the zip tie, played with the governor, also removed the ground wire for the limiter. And I full throttle it and it struggles to make 17mph. What could be the problem? I have changed fuel filters, new air filters, cleaned the carburator. And also checked for any hose damage sucking air......if I connect the ground it hits the rev limitor and will reallt struggle to make 10mph. I haved played with everything. I feel like puttinf it on FIRE.!!! Any help. Please thanks |

Re: Gas Club Cart hesitate to make 17mph
Welcome back to BGW PR!
There's something you have to remember... it's only a one lung, 9.5 hp engine! IF you still have the stock tires on it, 17 mph is about the best you'll get! There are SO many things you can do to get it to go faster, (lift/larger tires, Clone/Big Block, etc.) It all depends on what you want to spend! |

Thanks, you had me laughing.
Well yes its completely stock. But it just seems all I did and it still seems to struggle to make that mph. Now, is there a reason why when I connect the ground wire it bogs/rev limiter. If I connect it I have to back of on the Acelerator Rod knear the governor. Or if I even slightly touch the governor brack in the rear to bend it, it chokes up. |

Re: Gas Club Cart hesitate to make 17mph
You have a 2001 Club Car DS!
A = DS (model) G = Gas 01 = 2001 33 = 33rd week of production Try to remember to mention the year and model when posting questions about your cart!
