Re: high speed magnet
Interesting, so when the CC dealer modify the speed setting do they go after the motor controller or the OBC with their programming?
Seems to me that the motor controller is just simply an input signal for the OBC to further process. The magnet is just a 2 to 1 reducer that the OBC would then process into logic to control the cart speed. |

Re: high speed magnet
The OBC is mainly to control how much to charge batteries. I does not control the motor, or drive system.

Onboard Computer Circuit The onboard computer (OBC) circuit performs the following functions: 1. Provides power to the solenoids, Forward/Reverse switch, controller capacitors and reverse buzzer. 2. Powers down the electrical system during long term storage to reduce battery discharge. 3. Activates regenerative braking when the batteries can accept a regenerative charge. 4. Turns the charger ON and OFF during the charge cycle. 5. Locks out the motor speed controller to prevent the vehicle from moving during the charge cycle. 6. Illuminates the dash warning light if there is a problem with the batteries. 7. Sends a signal from the dash light to the optional Communication Display Module. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARJ8cAGm6JE |

Re: high speed magnet
Thanks for the good laugh. BTW, you're showing your age.
But you still didn't answer my one question: "so when the CC dealer modify the speed setting do they go after the motor controller or the OBC with their programming? " Where is speed code 4 set? |

Some useless Trivia Info, A password is required to place the vehicle in "private speed mode" (speed setting 4). The speed controller will log unsuccessful and unauthorized attempts to place the speed controller in "private speed mode". If repeated attempts are unsuccessful, the speed controller will permanently lock out access to "private speed mode". In the event that "private speed mode" is locked out, the controller must be removed and shipped to Club Car before it can ever be placed in "private speed mode". |

Re: high speed magnet
Put this way, you can bypass the obc and still the cart will run at the speed code 4 setting. It goes in the controller.
Edit: glassk already answered while I was pecking. |

Re: high speed magnet
It is a red dot, yes I keep it on all the time. Works great for rain or cold weather. I play golf when it is 30 or above. I have a golf cat heater. The large propane cylinders fit the sand bottle holder I have in the center of the dash area perfect.
