Default 1313-3301

I have just got my first hand held tester. 1313-3301 trying to use it on a 2013 RXV. Is this ok ?
I have a few question, since there was not any instruction with it.
First off , it did not have batteries...Install used ones (not sure if they are real good) get new ones soon. Problem I hooked it up to the cart and pushed power button. Display come on for a second then goes off. Don't know if that is batteries or cart. and I'm not sure what part the cart plays in power to the tester. The pack voltage is 49.8 volt is that enough for tester to work. Right now the cart will not run, solenoid will not click. The only part I new to change, was the charger receptacle and the only part I had. That didn't fix it.
If you can help me with any of these problems, I thank you.

The programmer should turn on whenever the key is in any position other than off, any position for tow/run. Even with prety low batteries (like 44v)

Cg could you tell me what to look for or try. This is a brand new one.
So It make no difference if it was sold to be used on a TXT 48 volt ?
and does the 2 AA batteries have anything to do with the screen staying on ??
Thanks as always

Yes, all Curtis programmers work on most all programmable (this generally includes Sepex & AC models) Curtis controllers in club cars, ezgos, westerns, garias, many star cars, (there are a few exceptions that don't apply to you, like ieven a level 4 programmer doesn't do much on a bombadier). Yes, but it should still operate like I said, it will just take longer to power down when key turned off. No, I can't tell you all my secret tuning tricks. I have both new style & old style programmers, I have used the old ones so long I prefer them (that is code for "you will have to poke around to find the diagnostic menu").

Well Cg I got the tester to turn on, now, I don't know how to interpret what I see. It says, main contractor not closing. I don't know where to go from there.
Is this the solenoid ? if so, I no it's not closing. Just don't know why.
I will say, I'm going to have fun learning how to use this tester.
So any help or direction will be appreciated.

I wish I had seen this sooner. I was in Conway on my way through last week, and again on my way back 2 days ago. I had my diagnostic equipment with me. I could have showed you how to use it, along with a demonstration of a more advanced handset and programmer.
