Re: DCX 400 Problems
hook whatever meter you want (either Scotty's dash mounted meter or a DVM) directly to the batteries and plug the cart in. If as you say it was fully charged, the Anmeter on the charger will instantly got to about 20 AMPS and the voltage should steadily rise. After about 20 minutes, the Anmeter on the charger should be steadily dropping and (hopefully) be around 10..... At that point, the voltage should be near 42 volts.
If any of those conditions are not occuring, then it is likely that either: a, your batteries are old and weak..... b, your charger is on the way out..... The only way to confirm either is to: a, get a new battery pack in there and retest b, borrow a known good charger and retest. |

Re: DCX 400 Problems
**** this totally blows. Because if my batteries go bad I was going to upgrade to 48 volts and all my stuff I got from Scotty is for 36v and plum quick is doing the bandit upgrade for 36v

Re: DCX 400 Problems
and the bandit upgrade will work at 48 volts (plus they haven't even gotten it yet so if they need to change anything a simple phone call is all it takes). The only thing you would have to change is the solenoid and the charger (besides the batteries of course.....).

Re: DCX 400 Problems
Hmmmmmmm........ I wonder what kind of speed I could get out of a 48v upgrade with my controller and bandit motor. Any ideas?

Re: DCX 400 Problems
Plenty!
My Series cart runs 24mph on stock diameter tires, stock gears, 48v. My motor is custom (not exactly a "Bandit" or an "Executioner"). |

Re: DCX 400 Problems
I have a 2004 E-Z-GO PDS cart on 36 volts stock factory 300amp controller & solenoid with the speed chip, shaved magnet and I run 24MPH. Oh yea 17" wheels on it.

Re: DCX 400 Problems
What do I need to do to go over 35mph??? Or is that not possible on 48v?

Re: DCX 400 Problems
I'm running 33 MPH on a heavier cart with stock wheels/tires..... With larger diameter tires I have no doubt I would be doing more than 35......
