Default Digital Volt Meter

So.....I finally ordered the meter from ScottyB......Has it shipped yet????? lol..just kidding.

Question is.....will I have to run wires or can I use the wiring from the bar graph meter..... I know it will be in the instructions but just wondering so I can plan the time to install, After all, retirement is real busy ya know,

Pete it's cake. It's only 2 wires. Question is do you want it on all the time or just when the key is on? If just when the key is on you run the positive to the top terminal on the key switch and a wire fromthe ground on the meter to the main pack ground. that's it!

I knew there would be no problem......been rewiring 66 Mustangs for years along with other old stuff I restored. I was mainly wondering if the existing wire for the bar graph meter would work. Not really worried about when it is on.....

Yes it will work fine. You will have 3 wires to the State of Charge meter (Ign, Neg and pos) and only 2 for the Datel meter. Use the negative and the one that goes to the ignition.
I would leave the original SOC meter in as well as it will give you a better feel for how much is in your batteries and it won't be up and down like a yoyo.
