Default Different throttle inputs.

I have a question on controllers. Can you use a 0-5K pot on a controller that had an ITS input? I have racked my feeble mind and dug through many searches that basically say : yes, no, maybe! My cart has a bad 1205 controller and I obtained a cart that has a 1206 controller, with an ITS input. I really don't want to have to try and mount the ITS box in my cart. Is there any way around this ( inexpensively )? I know I asked this yesterday, but I have trouble communicating my thoughts sometimes.

Wink Re: Different throttle inputs.

Simply put NO!

Now if you had a Alltrax controller you could. You can reprogram them to the pot box or the ITS whichever you need.

Andy, Thanks so much! I kinda was going there with the more reading I have done. I have what I need, it's just more labor work than I wanted!

Cool Re: Different throttle inputs.

Understand. I have 2 projects I want to do just don't feel like doing either of them right now. I'm going to wait until cooler weather.

I have one club car with the 5 solenoids I have the ITS stuf out of a Ezgo I planning to swap it all out for.

I have the 48 volt wrecker that is solenoid ran also. I have a 400 amp 48 volt alltrax I plan to stick in it at some point.

FYI SM, I spent a half day of my life engineering an ITS system into a marathon once..... you can do it but the ITS costs more than a potentiometer and the adaption didn't help me with my controller & Solenoid mount like the old original bracket did so I went that way ...

But basically you attach the plunger to the end of your throttle linkage and mount the ITS tunnel in position the be probed by the rod and you got it
Best to use the original micro too.

simple man, can you measure input voltage and then the variable output from the ITS sensor as the pedal is depressed? this may be very simple mod...

That's where I'm at now, Scott. Since mine is an industrial cart, I have space to work in and I have found a way to mount the ITS box to my original pot box bracket. This and the 1206 controller will be used for awhile, giving me time ( and money ) to get the proper controller and input! I'm very happy that I can get this to fit without changing my original bracket. The worst I'll have to do is make an additional bracket that I can simply remove later on.
