beautiful paint job. no, a bad shock will not affect your static ride height. check your front and rear springs. sometimes a spring that is diagonal from the droop will cause it. if the springs are good, you may be able to shim the low side. did you reverse the frt. springs to lower it?

If the are the factory springs, seeing that there is usually more weight on the driver side, your front leafs could be sagging. When I removed mine to have the frame PC'd my drivers side front and rear springs were way worse than then passenger ones. Look in my build thread you will see what I mean. So I bought new factory fronts, and allsports hd inths rear and slammed it knowing that all my suspension is perfect.

To answer your question as Jim stated, shocks on a golf cart are not designed like a car. They are a dampner not a height adjuster. Although I you drop it factory shocks will not work, unless you relocate the front mounts.

Maybe a stupid suggestion but especially if you're going to ride solo a lot, couldn't you swap the left side springs with the right side springs? I know that would let it sag on the right side when empty but would probably make it ride level when you ride in it solo by bringing down the left side down with the right side. Just a thought. Plus it'd save you a couple bucks if it would work or it may just be a bad suggestion. Figured I'd throw it out there anyway.

Just curious, why not a downfiring sub box?
