I think my batteries starting to go?
I have a set of 2008 Trojan T-105's in my ezgo. They have played about a million rounds of golf on a course in South Florida for the last 3 years. They seem to be well taken care of, water is good, no corrosion, and they all test out to 6.3V or better for a pack total of 38.3 on a full charge.
Problem is, After a short run, they are way down below 70% My neighbor has new batteries, (everything else the same as mine) and he keeps on going and going and going while I notice a pretty good drop in speed and torque after a while. They bounce right back up on the charger, but just seem to go dead faster than they used to. I think it's about that time... |

Re: I think my batteries starting to go?
Shorter run time is a result of the battery not being able to store as much amperage as it once could.

Re: I think my batteries starting to go?
Not yet. I'm still kicking around the 48V idea. These are still getting me around, I'd say they still have a few months of usable life.
I'm going to get my controller and charger first, then pick up batteries last and change it all at one time....if I go 48. |
