Default Question about a charger

I bought a 36v charger for my cart. The charger and my cart do not have the same connection. Will it hurt anything to just put alligator clips on the charger until I can get the proper connection for either the cart or the charger.

cant say I recommend this...but it will technically work...better make sure those connections are tight and check every once in a while for heat issues...like I said not recommended...

Make sure those alligator clips can handle 25 amps for 12 hours or more, and that the charger is automatic.

Some automatic chargers for later model EZGO carts use the auxiliary contact in the charger's output plug to sense the battery pack voltage and won't turn on without it.
It needs to sense the negative side of the battery pack (B-)

Other than that and using heavy enough cables and clamps, it should work.

Yeah, we ain't talkin' 'bout not cheap a$$ Radio Shack alligator clips. More in line with automobile jumper cables.

The charger is a power wise 2. My cart is a 94 medalist. Once I get the right connections will that charger even work with my cart.

I just happen to have a PW II.

You'll have to connect the battery sense wire to the negative terminal in the plug, or you can do it inside the charger, but it has to be connected or the PW II won't turn on.
