Default Alltrax Controller cable replacemnt question!!!

I have an Alltrax controller. I have changed all of the cables on my cart to 4 ga. I have 2 cables going from the motor to the controller. 1 I have changed with a 4 ga. cable. the other cable has a connector fitting on one end to attach to the controller. do they make a 4 ga cable with that fitting already on it? also, Why is it that i have read on other threads that you should not use auto cables when going to a 4 ga?? just wondering... TIA

It should be a regular copper lug, just like all the other ones in the high-amp circuit. Post a pic of your connector.

Automotive battery cable typically does not have the high strand count we are looking for. 4g welding cable has about 400 strands, dissipates heat very well, has a neoprene jacket, and bends/routes easily.

Automotive cables a designed to for low voltage and amperage, average 12-14v 20-30 amps. Golf Cart cables are typically handling 36-51v and 50-400 amps.

These are mine, made from 2/0 welding cable. I like the added protection of braided sleeving, plus it dresses it up nice!

thanks you all for the input... I guess i will have to post a pic... on the top of my controller I have a disconnect fitting. That cable goes to the motor, It has the regular terminal fitting on it. I am looking for that cable in a 4 ga... does this make sense? Thanks again!!!!
