Default G9 identification and Build

Hey guys, just recently bought my first cart. Was told its a G9. I cant find an ID tag or plate anywhere on it. It has a piece of metal trim that goes all the way around the front cowl facing the passenger area. (If that means anyhing).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im also in need of a rear body and bag well if anyone has one theyd like to get rid of.

Several different clues to differentiate a G2 from a G9. G2, white steering column & wheel - G9, black. G2, aluminum trim at rear edge of front body that goes all the way to floorboard - G9, rubber trim that stops halfway down. G2, white cupholder with black insert - G9, all black cupholder. G2, white "kick rail" below floorboard with black rubber trim - G9, all black kick rail. G2, seat back cushions stick up above support pillars - G9, tops of cushions level with tops of pillars.

Mine has the aluminum trim. Was told it was a g9. Can I still do the motor swap I was planning on. Or have I been hoodwinked into a 2 stroke cart?

Both the G2 and G9 are 4 stroke carts. A 420 swap, if that's what you are doing, is done all the time. Check out the clone section in Big Blocks.

Here's pics of both. As you can see, they are very, very similar. As far as your engine swap, it won't make much difference at all if you started with a G2 or G9. Neither is particularly better than the other as far as I am concerned. Both are awesome carts in my opinion.

Whewww!!!! Thanks guys, thats a load off my mind! Thought I had been stuck.lol Still looking for a rear body if anyone know how to acquire one I will be forever greatful. Whats left of the front ain't the purtiest but at least its there. I really can't complain as I only gave $175.00 for it. Also got a deal on a previously purchased 420 clone that came from HF. It had one tank of fuel ran through it on the older gents work bench. Its not one of the black predators though, its blue with electric start. Not sure of the manufacturer. But thanks again for all the help so far guys.

I don't have an extra right now, but G2 & G9 use same rear body.

I think the blue HF were lifans, a good engine, they switched a few years ago to someone else for the predators.
