Having just finished this job on mine, I was amazed at the difference. Good luck on the fan side! Give everything a good cleaning and greasing while it’s apart!

Postal service here is pathetic....Seriously.
Fedex has a tracking number...Parts entered Aussie on the 31August,cleared customs all ok same day...Despatched and received TO RURAL QUEENSLAND despatch centre on the 3rd Sep....So where is it now???....What the hell is it doing in Rural??...I live near the Brisbane metro delivery area..ITS TAKEN OVER 6 DAYS TO GO FROM SYDNEY TO HERE...NORMAL OVERNIGHT!!!!!

WHISKY IS W#HAT I NEED...SCOTCH AND LOTS OF IT .

Amen on the scotch! I've had good results with FedEx, UPS, and USPS...so long as they don't combine efforts. UPS has some hybrid deal with USPS that slows shipments way down. USPS has major tracking number issues. Almost useless. But priority mail is good as it gets.
Good luck!

Hi JRL...I think thats what has happened here...Fedex combined with Aust Post...I emailed them and they said just that...They gave it to the postal service here...That was the last it was seen....Pathetic, that was on the 1st of September .

MOAR scotch...on the rocks please..
Used to call the service "Blue and Brown" which of course equals $#i+, so they renamed it "Flexible Service"...a term for NO service.
Combined, they can 'eff up the world..
Didn't know they were doing such in Oceania...? Could you pick the parts up?
I highly recommend this service for China mainland.
Good luck!

Well after all this time success !!!
BUT...

Here is a lesson for all...When working on these old girls, all is not what it seems...Like if there is no gasket MEANS there probably should be.

I today put all the bits on and it still ran only marginally better...How bloody frustrating....I did some searches here again going back years and everything I read lead me to the carby, reeds, mount block...AIR.AIR.AIR. So I took the carby off again and all the reeds and block...The block had cracks only on the exterior only .After studying all the bits it dawned on me there was no gasket between the reed block and the cylinder....:thumb down:Of course in the kit I received from the USA there was a brand spanker...YAY...
Put it all back together again with A GASKET and it idles.....OH YOU LITTLE PEA CUTTERGoes very well about 17mph with govenor cutting in,As you can feel it slow down at that speed.
A BIG THANKS FELLAS...THE BEERS ON OL GRIFF

Anyway I like this site and will be a regular ...All good fellas here thats for sure.
