Default 1981 EZGO Clutch buttons (ramps)

Hey all,

I need to get some new clutch buttons on my driven clutch. Does anyone have a part number and vendor? And do they come as a pack of 3 or are they individual?

Has anyone ever tried to replace them while the clutch is still in the cart? If I remember right they are a hard plastic that must be drilled out. Does that sound right? Whats the best way to put the new ones in? Just pound them in with a hammer? Visegrips?

Thanks.

Any of the site sponsors should be able to get them for you, I think they're sold one each, that's how ezgo sells them. does it really matter, it would be best to replace all of them. the ones i've seen are held by allen head fasteners, hammering not required. I believe it would be best to have the clutch off the cart at time of replacement, although I've never tried it the other way. If you do, let us know how it works out.

definetly with the clutch off, and i have found that the several clutches i have cracked open have 1/8" cap screws and if you catch them early enough that the crown dosnt eat the cap screws up there fairly easy to replace. the OEM # from ezgo is 26479-G01 for the ramp buttons

Thanks for the replys....Divot61, I have the older "round" style with no hole for a screw. Thus I think you just hammer them in.
ScottyB...I don't see any of my style buttons on that website, only the 89 and up style.

hawk, you never said if your cart is 2 or 4 stroke, the 4 stroke i think is oem# 51358-G1 push type 1976-1988 and the 2 cly. is oem# 14114-G1 1976-1988 for a comet driven clutch.
hope this helps ya
