Default 1995 G14 A Gas will not fire after hard braking

Driving home from a round, a car pulled out in front of me causing me to hit my brake pedal / slamming the pedal. The cart stopped hard and the tires barked very loud as i came to a stop. Once the car passed i tied to hit the accelerator but it would not turn over, once messed with the brake pedal the cart fired and ran (even faster than before) but now i have this issue often, I'll stop to hit my ball and when i hit the gas pedal the brake releases but the cart sits there, if i mess with the brake pedal it will eventually run perfectly fine, until it happens again. Did a cable break i am not seeing or does the brake need adjustment?

So when you hit the accel pedal your saying cart won't even turn over until you (mess with the brake) and then try accel pedal again? Brake has nothing to do with turning cart over...My first thoughts are either your stop switch(which is located behind your accel pedal which activates solenoid when pressed) or your solenoid itself is failing...you can check to see if you are getting power to solenoid when cart won't run to narrow down...

Correct, but when i press the accel pedal i can hear the clicking noise from what i assumed was the solenoid.

Depending on where you here the clicking, is it under the seat or under the floor mat?

ok if that's the case you are getting power to the solenoid...however clicking does not always mean working...check for 12v on both large post of solenoid when it clicks but doesn't move...If you are getting power on both sides and cart isn't turning over...try tapping on the starter/generator with a hammer lightly while hitting pedal...if cart then starts turning over your starter brushes need to be replaced

clicking is coming from under the seat. I have tested and i do have power to the solenoid. the starter generator brushes were replaced last june 2020.

Hmmm that is a bit confusing...If you have power through the solenoid and to the starter but cart is not turning over...That would tell me something may be going on with ground somewhere...

if it was the ground would would i see fuses being blown? and it was working perfectly until the hard abrupt stomp on the brake pedal... which is why i was worried that did some damage as it happened immediately after the hard stop.

Not if its a loose connection only making good contact sometimes and not others...perhaps battery slid forward with hard stop and pulled loose a connection?
