Re: not getting fuel
Welcome Snowman, Can you give a little more info?
How long does it run before it quits? How long does it have to sit before restart or does it restart right away? When it dies have you pulled the plug wire and verified you have spark? What have you done to troubleshoot so far? We'll get ya going! |

Re: not getting fuel
thanks, usually it will run for about five-ten minutes then dies and i usually have to wait pretty long before restarting it but i havnt ever checked for spark. im thinking its the fuel pump cause when its running you can see the gas flowing through the fuel filter and when it dies the fuel filter is dry. i pulled the fuel pump off and the vacum is working fine, the line going in the gas tank is fine, and i also cleaned the carb just because it hasnt been cleaned in a while. its just weird because its so random. how are the fuel pumps on the club cars?
thanks again |

Re: not getting fuel
Those fuel pumps are pretty much bullet proof and with a regular filter change will give very little trouble.
On the other hand the ignitor will act up after it gets hot and shut down the spark. Carry a spare plug with you and the next time it stops running pull the plug wire off, insert the spare plug, ground it and spin it over to check for spark. Does it run longer with less gas in the tank? The reason I ask is your comment about the filter being empty. Also when it stops running, raise the seat and loosen the fuel cap, listen for any air getting sucked in the tank or you see the tank "puff" back out. If it is your tank vent is clogged or there is a restriction in the pick up tube in the tank. |

Re: not getting fuel
Crash look at line going from the crankcase to the fuel pump... if it has a sag or dip in the line it can hold oil and block the line just enough to slow your fuel flow! Learned this hard way! good luck!
