Yamaha G1 low compression
i have a g1 cat that was given to me had set for a year we done a compression check on it and only got around 35lbs i was wondering if it was the low compression engine that i hear about or if it had a compression release valve

Bad rings, broken piston or bad seals. Replace both seals.

i just rebuilt mine...got all the parts from a site sponcer shipped for $170 (new jug, piston, rings, pin and gaskets and such). took about an hour total and went easy as can be.
