http://www.partsfortechs.com/asapcar...150x117.jpgThe question is , will this starter fit on in place the orignal delco .the orignal Delco had a 15 tooth drive but I'm not sure of the od size as the starter is still on the cart .I am able to get by with the delco for now as it has a dead spot on the armature and when it stops in that spot I am able to turn it a little and it works fine till it stops on the bad spot again . there is quite alot of work to remove the starter so I was wondering if anyone has had experience interchanging these starters .

yes I have a rebuilder handy but he can't seem to locate an armature which is what my starter needs and if the ebay starter would fit my engine the price is right for me, it is less than $100.00plus shipping

I need to hear from is someone who has had to deal with this type of engine before . It is a 2 cylander opposed piston engine with overhead valves and the old delco starter is the type with the old type bendix drive with the big spring out at the end and the drive cog pulls in instead of going out like normal starters
