I have a 2015G29/Drive. From the brake equalizer there are 2 cables that run to the left and right rear wheels.

At least the three 2012 that I rebuilt from the ground up and all had internal brakes. I changed the transaxle gear oil, installing new Yamalube Friction Modified Gear Oil, as per specs. Service manual calls for fluid replacement every two years. Those 3 carts are extremely quiet in the gear / brake area to this day.

For aeroparts: Attached are a couple of pages from the 2012 service manual.
You are correct sir. In 2008, it would have internal brakes, and my comment would not apply. Here's a different approach. The early drive electrics had a cable that was a tad too short, and a newer version of the cable is just a bit longer. The short cable did result in pedal pulsations when applied.

i just purchased a 2016 Yamaha G29 with the madjax 6" lift, and all terrain wheels and tires.
My question is when braking in forward there is a slight rub/skip much like a warped rotor feel but it does not happen in reverse. Any idea where to start? Cart has drum brakes on both sides, they appear to be adjusted equally. any assistance is greatly appreciated.

How much oil does the axle take? The manual just says fill to the bottom of the fill plug. So are we talking less than a quart or more than a quart?

That's for the old Team axle, the newer axle takes 325cc if I recall, but I'm very sure it's not 44oz.

Yes - the 44 oz is for the team axle.
