Rear gear box question
I ordered high speed gears for my 2001.5 TXT today. So I thought I would disassemble the gear box to make sure everything in there was in good working order, instead of waiting until the gears showed up and throwing it together.
Anyway, after I got the rear end out and went to drain the oil, a double spring (spring inside a spring) about 7/8 inch long and a single ball bearing came out. Any idea as to what this is or where it goes? Everything else in the gearbox looks brand new..... |

Im sure he didnt remove the bolt and spring with ball first. Most people dont.
They do not know about the detent for fwd/rev. That assembly needs to be put in, ball, spring,bolt... very last after rear end is toghter. |
