New solenoid
What could be the problem now? I didnt hear the click on the solenoid, so I replaced it. This is a 1990 model i am pretty sure, the tag is gone. It is a flathead. I can hear the microswitches clicking when I press the pedal, but no solenoid click. I bought the cart not running, so, I have no history on it. Wiring looks good. When i turn the key, voltage comes back on the blue wire to the solenoid

Re: New solenoid
Not easily but nothing much surprises me anymore. You have 12v to the main terminal I assume ? The smaller terminals are the relay that activates the voltage path across the larger pair. You should see 12v across the smaller terminals with the pedal switch activated. As a short term test you could short out the two larger terminals on the solenoid with a screwdriver and see if the motor spins.

Re: New solenoid
Yea, its for a 12v. It runs when i jump it. This buggy has a diff key switch and from what i can tell there should be 4 connections on the back of it. It was replaced with a switch with 2 prongs on the back of it. The ground and the white wires that go to the micros are disconnected. wish i had seen the a little earlier. I think that possibly it will not turn over unless all those wires are connected? Got to order the correct key switch. Will that possibly fix it?
