98 TXT EZGO Help With BAtteries & Charger
Just went out to put our 98 EZGO on the battery charger and discovered the
key was left in the on position. The cart has set for 2 maybe 3 weeks with the charger not connected. There is no power when I turn the key on and depress the foot pedal. The charger will not come on. I have tested the outlet with another devise and it works. I believe the batteries have to have some power in them to start the charger. Would the batteries by drained by the key being left on? I will check the batteries with a meter to see if there is any juice left in them. |

Re: 98 TXT EZGO Help With BAtteries & Charger
You are correct, there must be some 26 or so volts in the pack to activate the EZGO charger. Put a 12 volt charger on two at a time and get them back up to proper charge, then re-connect the entire pack before you start your testing for what might or might not have been burnt out.
