Forgot to mention - **** this thing is fast at 48V! Don't have a long enough stretch of road in my neighborhood to get to top speed. Had to lift off at 35mph. Feels like it has at least 3 or 4 mph left!

So why didn't you go back with Lithiums with a good safeguard on discharge?

Put the reducer and the 12 volt on the same, driver side. Just use a motorcycle battery instead of a lager car battery.
