1992 XI875 won't go f/r batteries have full charge

Good day. I am new here. I am also new to working on electric carts. I have a 1992 Cushman electric XI875. It has been Frankenstiened by previous mechanics and now it will not go forward or reverse. It has been down for maintenance for over a year. We have used a known good speed controller and a known good solenoid. It only has one solenoid and no resistor banks. I am searching for help to get this thing going. I can take any pictures for reference. There are seven wires on the battery side of the solenoid. I know this has to be incorrect. Where I work we do not have a manual. I will go to bennettgolfcars tomorrow and download the manual from their site. Any help is more than greatly appreciated.
