springs?
I have a 98 txt and it looks like I may need a new set of springs?
is this common for a cart this old? are they hard to replace? should I just let my shop do it? I'm 71 yrs old and am thinking this may be a little more than I want to tackle? how about it guys, you ever done it, and how hard was it to do? boy there are sure a lot of question marks in this post! |

I'm 67. Just replaced my front springs last summer. Not much to it really. The hardest part is getting up and down while completing the job.
Just do one side at a time. Use jack stands and keep your jack handy. This is where an inexpensive Sears or other such brand floor jack comes in handy. |

Yes have the shop do it. It requires the complete disassembly of the front end and floor mat section. Very common on ezgo's 1994-2001

I'll be 76 in May and I do all my own work on our carts 2 96 EZGO TXTs 1 88 Western golf and country.
I spent about half the day today stripping down the wife's TXT getting it ready for a rebuild. It all depends on your health and mechanical ability. Good luck on which ever way you go |

HINT for a cheap lift kit on these models....hockey pucks at rear of front springs, longer flat iron with holes for rear shackle lift....works great!! I have done 3" lifts this way many times, and much more cost effective...you will need longer bolts for front springs tho |
