Default 98 TXT electric ezgo won't run solenoid not clicking

My cart started having intermittent problems when hitting accelerator it wouldn't go but after pushing pedal several times it would go. Now it has completely stopped and don't hear a click from solenoid. Connected red lead from meter to terminal #2(with red wires) and black lead to negative post and pushed accelerator and don't get anything. I also tried leaving red lead on terminal #2 and putting the black lead on the positive post on first battery and I get 38volts. Then connected black lead to terminal #1 and the red lead to positive battery terminal and before hitting accelerator I get 38volts after hitting accelerator there's no change. Can take a short piece of #6THHN and connect from #2 post(with red wires) and jump to positive post on #1 battery and the solenoid clicks. Any HELP will be greatly appreciated!!

Check for pack volts on the small red/ white/red wire coming out of the back side of the charger plug on the cart. Under the seat. It's called a reed switch. And check the micro switch in the go pedal box under the floor mat, little box right behind the go pedal

The original problem description sounds alot like a micro switch failing = going going gone. There is one on the F&R with red and blue wires and one in the pedal box with red and green. Both need to be working......

Thanks for the help!! I went to check reed switch and realized that the red wire coming off of the back of charger plug wasn't connected to anything. I didn't see any type of switch but the red wire coming off of the back of charger plug had a female wire connector and there was a male wire connector on a red/white wire (that went to forward reverse switch)that was sitting close by so I connected them and we were off and running. Thanks again!
