Default Wire connectors

I was told using wire nuts is not a good solution for wiring on your cart.

I can find butt connectors, ring terminals at any hardware store, but where do you find things like closed end connectors and other types of connectors?

I live in a large city...are there typically better places than Walmart, home depot and stores like that where you can find the types of connectors that I would use to do my 12volt accessory wiring correctly.

If I were trying to do a pig tail connection coming off my ground, would a connector like this work?

If so, what type of local stores have this type of product...I can for sure tell you that Walmart is not the place...at least not mine.

I use those butt conectors all the time - as long as you crimp properly you shouldnt have a problem.

check an auto parts store for parts like these.

Pro Tip - Use a bench vise to crimp

Auto parts, car audio, Radio Shack. Use the Klein pliers that make a U-shaped crimp for up to 12ga.
