Default Battery Regeneration

Please let me know if anyone has ever had their batteries restored. I have 6 8V t-875's that are only a year old. The cart is in the shop for some general maintenance and the shop recommended the batteries go through a restoration process.

The batteries did have some sulfaction earlier in the year due to charger issues and they were run down for about 3 months (we were not aware).

The system they use is Xtender Battery restoration where the batteries are attached for 24-48 hours, system is sold by Flight Systems in PA.

They state it will only help the batteries and not harm but I am reaching out to the forum of experts for some feedback. Thanks!

I have tried battery regeneration twice and the results was very minor. I would not recommend it.

I would try it. Never used it but I can't see where it could do any harm.

tdcb128, I think you and the OP are talking about different things.

Have they given you a price for the restoration process? If not more than the cost of one new battery, I would consider it. This is a completely electronic process, apparently.

Other rejuvenator processes that add chemicals to the batteries should be avoided. They do not work regardless of the advertisements and wonderful customer reviews.

You may be one of the first forum members to try this process. We would all be excited to hear about the results. Please let us know if you do it.

Dlab-"Get new batteries"

Maybe everyone doesn't have an extra $800 laying around to spend on new batteries?

Thanks for the great input. Pls note the batteries will charge but have capacity issues due to the length of time they sat and were completely depleted.

I will report my findings, thanks
