Default Rear Axle 97 36v to 04 48v Question

Is the rear axle from a 97 36v DS the same as a 04 48v? I have two CCs that I’m building into one and I am wondering if the 48v motor will bolt up to the 36v rear axle. Any gearing difference etc? Thanks

It will but, why would you want to do that? The 48v motor will not give better performance. The 36v motor running on 48v would give the best performance

So your saying to keep the 36v motor and run it off the 48v solid state system? I knew it could be done but I didn’t realize it would preform better.

Yes, keep the 36 motor and run on 48.

The 36v motor will produce more torque and speed on 48 than a 48v motor would.
