Default 97 electric club 48v won't move when pedal depressed

97 48v electric club car just wouldn't move when I press the pedal, new batts last year, fully charged. It was running fine then I stopped at a friends and came out 2 hrs later and got no response from the pedal. I took the selector apart and cleaned it like new. sometimes there is a very very slight jerk when I press the pedal. I'm stumped . HELP, should I take apart the black box where the throttle connects???

Look at this http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ml#post1484835 and see if it helps.... It could be a myriad of things but start there and hope it is not the controller.... (The drawing will help you trace and troubleshoot)

alas, not so quick. I think I may have a wire mixed up, charger is not shutting off! I can't seem to find a wire diagram that I can read!!!

it WAS shutting off before I replaced the solenoid!!!! I'm pretty sure I got the wires back right ( Not certain, I messed up by not being more attentive !).Batteries are bubbling! the 2 large post on the solenoid has a fat yellow on the right and the fat red on the left along with 2 thin red wires and a thin green ( $ wires going to that post). the front small post has thin white/black and red and the back small post has just 1 thin yellow! Is this correct? I don't want to mess anything up by keeping it on the charger( which is a yr old) or ruining my new ( year old) batteries.

One of the red wires you removed when replacing the Solenoid is the OBC power.

After the OBC resets (by loosing power for more than 10 minutes), it does a baseline charge that will take a lot longer than a normal "replenishing" charge.

You have to let the "baseline" charging cycle finish or it will continue to take a long time.

As long as the amps are low on the ammeter (less than 5 amps), there is not much energy going into the batteries to cause damage.
