Default 2012 Precedent controller?

I have a 2012 Club Car Precedent the has a 6" AllSport lift and 23" tires. I believe everything else is factory. On level ground it has top speeed 16-17 mph. I use it for sporting clays. The current speed is all I need but I need more power when going up hills. I was thinking of getting an alltrax controller. Would the 300 amp give me the extra power for the hills?

Yes it would. The higher amperage would help you. Also a lot more tuneability and diagnostics capabilities.... Your 23" tires are robbing your torque.

If you require more after that, it will be a motor next.

If it were me I would spend the extra money and go with a 400 amp controller then your ready for a motor with alot more torque. I think even with the stock motor and 400amps you would be happy.

I don't think you will be real happy until you get more horsepower as in a new motor and a new controller.

Ruger, you have opened up the proverbial can of worms. Sepex carts will run a little faster but don’t like slow. For your cart your simplist fix would be to put 4ga wires in it plus solenoid with a 400 amp xct and call it a day. If you want torque a little more drastic method would be to switch it to a series drive but hills would not be a problem. Either way contact David here https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/store

He is the man when it comes to Club Car.

If you are going to go big down the road, I would not split hairs, I would just get the XCT500 now, which can be mapped for your OEM motor and tuned to 300/350 amps now, then down the road when you go bigger, you only take your laptop PC and tune the controller back up to 500a and change the map to the motor you buy....

Yes always go big on the controller price difference isn’t that much.

I am only looking to give it a more power for the hills. I only use it on sporting clays courses. I am not trying to sink a ton into it and have no interest on doing anything else to it. If I do the 300 will I have to change anything else or just the controller?

No, here https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...roller-300-amp it is. Just change it out and keep your other equipment.

For $50 more get the 400. If you don’t have the hd solenoid and 4ga wires just turn it down until you upgrade those or just do it now, you won’t be disappointed.
