Mcor issues
Ive got a 99 club car ds. Yesterday (on my day off) it quit moving. Cart has a good charge, and gets solenoid click, but does not move in forward or reverse. I checked the f/r, continuity checks were good. Chased every wire, all were good. I jacked the front of the cart up, and saw water dripping near the mcor. I lifted the front of the cart as high as it would go and set up a heater near the cart and left it for 35 minutes. I returned from lunch and checked the mcor. Nothing dripping and dry to the touch. Jacked the rear just high enough to get the tires of the ground. Put it in forward pressed the gas and the tires spun. Did the same for reverse, it spun the tires. I cant get my co-workers to avoid puddles. Is there a way to seal the mcor to prevent excess water from hitting it?

Re: Mcor issues
Didn't think 99 had an MCOR unless its a conversion?
Either way, it should be pretty well sealed, I have several that run in rain and puddles all summer long and never have issues. Pull the connectors and make sure the rubber seals on the connectors are clean and actually in place. Put dielectric grease on the pins to keep water out of the connectors. If water is getting inside the MCOR either the case seam is split, or the o-ring around the input shaft is damaged. Heavy grease around the pivot may help keep water out. If the seam is split, seal around it with RTV. |

Yes it was a conversion. I think it might have a bad o-ring.
