Default RXV Dies

Got a older model 49 volt RXV ez go golf cart Batteries are good problem cart will take off fine run about 100 ft then stop only way to get to go again is cut the ign key off and back on,will do same thing again any help appreciated Thanks.

Are you sure your batteries are “good”?

Does the brake lock up? Or just slow down?

Shuts down absoutly no power turn key off and back on it goes again.

Pedal or Brake encoder and/or switches. They are relatively cheap parts.

As they age they get dirt in them and their electrical characteristics change and the controller starts complaining. (Especially if it's the black curtis controller.) Turning the key off and then back on resets the error.

Best solution would be to find someone that has a diagnostic handheld to see what errors the controller is detecting.
