How much money did you spend on your 48 volt battery pack. Don't skimp on the one item that keeps them alive. Get a DPI from ScottyB. There's more involved than just pushing voltage into a generic battery. Correct charging profile helps you get your money's worth out of your batteries, and a float (not trickle) charger is what your batteries want.

I did it for about 2 weeks before getting the DPI from ScottyB
