Re: 86 DS problem
you could always hove your armature redone. it isnt that costly. if your not looking into performance thats the route i would go. and when you buy batteries, please for the love of god don't cheap out. good batteries are worth their weight (literally) in gold.

Re: 86 DS problem
Im not concerened with performance at all, just a pit vehicle, Id have the armature rewound but two places have quoated me 400-450 so far. theres no way Id pay that with a whole motor costing 50 bucks more.

Re: 86 DS problem
why is stock replacement more expensive than a upgraded version? struggling with how that works? if he will take my core and 250 thats gonna be the route I take for sure, less money and a better motor?.....no brainer

Re: 86 DS problem
i think with your core the bandit is what like 225???? the price is right cause they do real good work and you get the added benefit of an upgraded motor plus shipping and add a decent to good set of batteries and your about 700 .00 bucks far cry from the 1500.................................

Re: 86 DS problem
just a side note, I know my batteries are shot, but just for something to do I did the whole epsom salt/distilled water thing. I got all the batteries to go from 5.98ish to 6.20ish. not enough to save them but I thought it would be interesting to try since I have nothing to lose.

Re: 86 DS problem
i think your shipping is around 70 bucks i beleive.....for both ways?? you,ll have to ask him but last time i talked with them from PA it was like 76 bucks or something like that..................still puts you at 300...........i don,t know why stock motors are so costly could be just overpriced like a lot of parts for golfcarts.......overpriced but by dealing with site sponsers here your getting fair prices from people who support this place..............as for the batteries yeah if you can get any time from tham thats a bonus just don,t bank on it cause voltage really means nothing if you put a load on them and they drop like bricks...........so when your done make your you load test them...............................
