Default HELP! I'm stumped

05 Precedent 48V. Losing power after about 10 minutes. Bareley makes it uphill. Thought it was the batteries but left lights on last night and they were still very bright after 3 hours. This all started sometime after installing light kit. Any ideas? Could one battery be bad causing this? What do I check and how do I check it?

Draw from lights is nowhere near the draw from your motor. You'll need a voltmeter and after you fully charge your battery pack, measure the voltage a few hours later. It should be at least 50.9 volts. Post back here once that's done. I'd also recheck to make sure that ALL battery cables are clean and tight.

You could take this one step further and tape the test leads to the battery pack. Then note the battery pack voltage and try the hill, again note the battery pack voltage drop... My guess is it more than the normal few volts.... The next step would be to repeat the test for each individual battery to see if one is much weaker than the rest.

How old are your batteries?

I assume your cart has 4-12v batteries? Did you uses a voltage reducer or converter or are the lights wired to 1 battery? How old are the batteries? If your batteries are old and getting weak the the lights on 1 battery will really show signs of weakness after it gets out of sync with the rest.
