With the cart already being set up for ESC (electronic speed control) you would need to change the controller to one that is 48 volt compatible (if yours is not) and a solenoid matched with the controller. You will need 48v worth of battery pack and a way to charge them.
Depending upon your drive system you may need to upgrade your F&R rotary switch and the cables through out the cart should be good 4g cables.

Checkout the website. It's $225 + your motor (delivered), or $100.00. I don't know what the return shipping is. There are lots of threads on that popular motor.

Yea. That's an awesome company to work with. I have dealt with them on several occasions. Give Rick or Robby a call. They will be more than happy to share their knowledge with you

I have an answer you can use John. And it wont cost you a cent. Reduce weight. Power/weight = speed.

My cart is '98 48v series stock. It ran 12 mph. I installed EMP Lightning 2 speed motor with a 2 speed switch. Sent them back my old motor. I now run 17 mph in 1st gear, 25 mph in second. Everything is stock except motor.
Probably the best deal going. Less than $400
