Re: Late 70s Club Car 36 volt
You guys are correct. 17 of the battery cells were identical in specific gravity except one. Deader than the proverbial nail.
As I understand it, I can buy one battery that matches the others and trudge on for a while. This old cart hauled me and some buddies and our equipment around for a number of years. Thanks very much. |

"Soon" is how long?
I cannot drop over $650.00 into Trojan batteries at this time. Might have to sacrifice one in the meantime. Would it hurt to put in a cheap battery for the time being? |

Re: Late 70s Club Car 36 volt
Check out the cart shops in your area. Many times they will have good used batteries for sale. Like I said before, try and match the ampere hour rating and age. If you can match the make too would be even better. My friend put one used battery in his cart over a year ago and he uses it almost everyday! His batteries were 5 yrs old then.

It's a crapshoot. 1 battery could get you by for a while or another cell could go out tomorrow. If you don't have the cash toss a cheapy in for now or a used one if you can get it.
