Default Plum Quick Getting HOT!!

I bought a plum quick bandit to my precedent last week and have took it out a couple of times so far. The first time i road to around 1.5 hours and the second for around 45min. Both times when i returned i felt the motor and it was hot to the touch. I don't know if the old motor was this way because i never worried about it. Is this common. I normally ride for 2 to 3 hours at the time and want to make sure i am not going to burn up a motor even though plum quick said they would warntey everything except a motor stall. Just wondering if i might have problems else where or if i have choose the wrong motor. All the riding is highway and hard dirt roads. Thanks,

According to PQ, you should be able to hold your hand on the motor for 3-4 seconds when checking the heat . . .

The motor is too hot if you can slide the decals around.
Anything less than that is normal.

I had the same concern with my set up, my motor guys installed a temp indicator on the outer case of motor with leads to temp indicator in the dash. My temps are between 93 - 96 degrees. I used my DS as a daily driver, so far so good.

Comment - "The motor is too hot if you can slide the decals around." to funny and to late...
