'99 EZ GO TXT Won't Run Solenoid/Controller?

Aloha! Recently bought '99 Series lifted cart. Thrilled, so hard to find on the Big Island. Been parked/broken more than used. Measures 12" hi from front axle for lift height? Decal "Golf Unlimited". Numerous issues, you foks helped us change the solenoid! Cart ran for a while. Rolling hills but the cart just slowed a bit at the peaks. Then a burning electrical smell, cart stopped. Next few days ran again. Then, smell again, hot to touch wires going to/from the motor. Now won't go. Reverse sounds, solenoid clicks. Advanced D.C. Motors, BL5-4001, W80097, 36/48V.
Carlise Tires AT489, AT23 x 10-12. ITP Rims ET-47 12 x 7. Controller is Curtis PMC 25864-G09. (350 amp?) New batteries charge and hold real well.

The brakes do seem to "lock up" now and again. Could they be dragging? I did not feel drag when moving? What have we newbies done now?! I really love this cart and want to take good care of her, get her back working.

What size wires do you have on the batteries, are they 6 gauge or 4 gauge? Disconnect the battery cables, remove the cover to your controller, take a look see if you see anything loose, etc, check to see if there is smell from the controller area, if you burned up your controller you will know.

Sure hope it isn't the controller. Most likely, the wires are 4 gauge. I'll make sure. Thanks again for your help.
