Get up and Go has got up and went :(
Ok, so I got some sort of Yamaha electric. . . not exactly sure of the model number, but it's a mid 90's cart (36 volt) According to a sticker on the rear axle (That has the name SPICER on it) there is a date stamp from 1997. . . it appears (to the best of my understanding without a serial number) to be a G16-E
FOUND THE SERIAL NUMBER: JN8-201114 I was driving it today, and suddednly, it stopped moving. When the cart is in gear, you can hear the converter take the charge. . . however, it doesn't seem to go any further than that. . . if you keep pumping the accelerator, I can occasionally get a lurch, but nothing more. . . what are some possibilities?!?!?! HEEEEEELLLLLLPPPP! Oh, and in reference, the converter ended up with a highly corroded terminal, so I'm in the process of replacing that now. . . Last edited by Master Nyte; 12-04-2008 at 01:25 PM.. Reason: New information on cart |

When you say converter do you mean controller? It sounds like a controller problem. What are you replacing?

The 36 volt converter (or controller maybe?) Turns out that was the problem at any rate. . . thankfully I had a spare from a parts cart. It's not a Yamaha specific, so I had to jerry rig it. . . but it works. . . for now. . . lol

Yes. . . lol. However, I do have a question, the next thing that's bound to go bad on this poor cart is probably the motor. . . I know a new one is around the 600 dollar mark, but how hard is it to install? I'm kind of learning as I go with this thing!
