![]() Friends of ours quit camping, sold everything and gave us this cart. 1984 stock Yamaha G1. I beat the crap out of it this past summer. I told the wife that if it made it until the end of camping season we would take it home over winter and fix it up a bit.
![]() ![]() 100_1808.jpg Well, I have always liked the old Willys Military Jeeps and always disliked the G1 front cowl. This cowl had a big crack on the passengers side so time for a change. WillysJeep_60PS_1943.jpg So here is where I’m at so far with my version of an old military jeep. What does everyone think?? Started by playing with some card board for size and scale. 100_1961.jpg The Geep1 ![]() 100_2026.jpg 100_2031.jpg I still have a long way to go!! ![]() ![]() |

![]() Ron, you know I'd been bugging you about this car build, well I'm "flabbergasted"! That is not only a great looking front end mockup, but your enginering/fab skills are fantastic!!!!!! Just my opinion...I would "lower" the front by an inch or 2 to make the hood seem more level? You never mentioned other plans,IE: the rear body mod's/lifted ? Thank you for your thread and the pic's. Now I can look everyday for your progress reports! If these pic's are any indication of this build........I bow to a master!

![]() Thanks guys. Hard to see in the pics but the hood is higher in the back. I will be lifting the cart but wanted to get the body mods going before I build the lift. The rear of the body will be modified but I'm still thinking about it.
![]() I should also say thanks to BigBlockMan Tom (cpp) and SmallBlock450sl Dave for helping with the engine. Stock engine with new piston, rings and crank seals, runs very strong!! This will be a slow build so stay tuned...more to follow. ![]() |

![]() That looks sweet Ron.I think it would look great with a "spare" on the back and some kind of jerry can set up on a rear bumper.Got to have the "Rat Patrol" whip antenna.I wasn't even going to mention the 50 cal.It looks great though.I'll be watching this one too.
