Default G1 clutch cover re-assembly help!

Hi guys. Thanks for the help in replacing my crankshaft seals, its running great..... Saturday I was trying to uproot some old azaleas by pulling backwards with my G1 and the clutch assembly unscrewed itself. And now even tho I was able to re assemble it a couple of months ago, I CANNOT seem to get the clutch cover back on. The pivoting weights dont seem to allow me to reseat it completely on the splines to then let me screw the long bolt back in. Any suggestions? I tried a rubber band with some dental floss attached but still no luck. Thanks!

Hmmm. That is interesting.

Hopefully nothing inside the clutch was damaged when you managed to back it off.

Can you take a pic with the cover off and upload it here? It might help identify if any weights or mounting points were damaged, creating an issue for the cover to slide back on.

Well, guys, I figured it out. I had the cover turned a few degrees and that was enough to prevent it from seating. Can't believe I didn't see that because I thought I was wiggling it back and forth. Oh well, thanks again.
