2005 Ezgo TXT Shuttle 6 (48v) controller 1264-5407

Hey all,

I have searched through the forums for info on direct replacements for the 1264–5407 Curtis controller. I haven’t found any info on aftermarket replacements only that fsip can repair / remanufacture.

Is there a Curtis aftermarket unit that works as a direct replacement?
Will any of the Curtis 1268 series work? Footprint is the same and all connections look the same also.

Alltrax makes a replacement for the 1264 and parameters can be changed with the Alltrax software. Curtis obviously makes one but would have to be programmed to match what you have.

The model is XCT48x00-1264/1268. (The x is the amp rating: 300A, 400A or 500A)

Seems to be a 3 week backlog with ordering Alltrax from some suppliers. I spoke to Curtis tech yesterday who were going to check if the 1268 model would work for me. Failing that I will send it off to fsip.

I have a 2012 Curtis 1268 and solenoid for sale. Its in the classifieds on here.

Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately I need a harness to convert over from the 1264 and no one sells them separately. I spoke with Curtis an Ezgo dealer and FSIP. I think my only option is to refurb with fsip.
