50 mph ???
I got a buddy that has a older model electric Club Car that he bought in south Florida and this cart has been clocked at 51 MPH, another friend of ours is a police officer and I was there when the radar was used. It was this way when my buddy got it.
The cart has small tires (Goodyear Double Eagles), what has been done to his cart to make it so fast ? Can this be done to a E-Z-GO ? I might want to build one someday ! |

Re: 50 mph ???
1st he put a pretty penny in it.................theres no way that a 36 or 48 volt cart is gonna do that speed so he could be running at 72 volts or even more............yes you can do the same to an E-Z go but its not cheap.........there are a few guys who have done this and i think nate is one of them so when he reads this i,m sure he,ll shed some insight into it.......but i think your gonna have to bump it up to 72 volts at least............don,t worry i,ll be corrected if i,m wrong........................................

Re: 50 mph ???
Not sure of his volts, but I do know he bought the cart this way for about $3500. As far as I know all he did was adapt a E-Z-GO roof to it and put a "Yeah, it's got a hemi" sticker on the back end.

Re: 50 mph ???
most assured they upped the voltage to get that kind of speed.......even a high speed motor only gives you 20 mph...............................

Re: 50 mph ???
Overvolt the motor, add high speed gears, and hold on!
Are there any GC motors that are designed for 24v? Just think what one of those could do on 96v! |

Re: 50 mph ???
The only way to get to 50+ MPH is with more voltage, gears, larger tires or as Gorno suggested, a "special" motor. Muaythia's cart runs pretty fast. He's running 108 volts. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/road-...o-el-gato.html
