EZ GO TXT Carb adjustment
Our Ez go TXT was having a problem. After diving a short time , it would not start back up...If we let it sit for 1/2 hour OR pulled the plugs and cleaned them ( Gas fouled ) it would start back up and run for a little while then back to no start and wet plugs...i pulled the carb and cleaned it out and reinstalled...worked fine for about a week then back to wet plugs..figured it was a carb problem...installed new carb...ran a while then back to wet plugs...is there an adjustment on the carb..any ideas ? Thanks.J

Re: EZ GO TXT Carb adjustment
the new carb should have been adjusted perfectly........chances are you might have a bad fuel pump just pumping to much gas........................

Re: EZ GO TXT Carb adjustment
Have you changed the plugs on that from the OEM plugs? Could be too cool of a plug.
If it was me, for about 2 bucks a piece I'd try one range hotter on the plugs and see if that cures the problem before chasing my tail any more. |

Re: EZ GO TXT Carb adjustment
I decided to check the compression...both cylinders read 90 psi psi when cranking over...what is recomended compression ?...We did notice a lot of blowby recently.i hooked a fuel pressure guage to it but it doesnt even read on the guage but with the hose off and cranking fuel does spurt out..?? any ides would be appreciated...the engine was pretty much rebuilt 5-6 years ago but everyone who drives it runs the you know what out of it...maybe its getting tired again.............Thanks in advance.......Jay

Re: EZ GO TXT Carb adjustment
Thanks..I figured that was too low..We decided to pull it and go thru it completely..gaskets...rings...bearings..timing belt..etc...my question now is :
How is the Drive clutch removed ? Does it pull of with a puller....Screw off ? If so right or left hand threads or does it need to be pressed on and off ? Thanks a lot......Jay |

BTW No bearings... The rod is your bearing. You would have figured it out eventually but thought I'd give you a heads up.. Good Luck |
